How to Measure your Window for Your Custom Plexiglass AC Panel
To measure your window for a custom plexiglass AC panel, follow these steps:
For a casement window or a swing-out window, open the window and measure the height and width of the open area. Your plexiglass panel will sit around the edge of your window frame so you’ll want to add 0.5” to 1.5” (depending on the width of your frame) to your measurement for both the height and width as this will be the area that your velcro will go to create a tight temporary seal for your panel.
If you have handles or other obstructions, we can cut notches around them so they don’t interfere with the plexiglass panel. Simply measure the location you’ll need the notch cut. Let us know the width and height of the notch.
For a sliding window, you can add a partial plexiglass panel. Open your sliding window to the size you’d like your plexiglass panel to be. Find the height by measuring from inside the top track to the window frame edge on the bottom. It’s important not to measure inside the track at the bottom of your piece since it will make your panel too large for your window.
